Hey everyone at Somerset Bridge, sorry I keep on sending emails to the site but I want to tell people how great the school is. I wanted you to know that I am keeping up my football and swimming and I have actually made the highest group for Bridgwater and got a gold medal for the championships - it's going great! Like my year 6 football team, we were the best. I'm also top set maths at Haygrove thanks to you. Thanks for everything.

Hey everyone. I've been at Haygrove for over a year now and I can't believe it . I still miss Somerset Bridge though, it is a great primary school. I am still doing well with my sport and as you might know as it was in the paper I am Somerset and Dorset's champion for the quadtrathlon. So thanks for the memories I will keep them with me.

I love Somerset Bridge. I wish I could stay there for ever but sadly I had to move on to a different school and it isn't anywhere as great as Somerset Bridge. I'll keep checking on this website so I can keep remembering my school.

Do you perhaps have a record of a Ms Dynes having been the school principal? In say the early part of the 1960's decade. Or perhaps the school where Ms Dynes was the principal head mistress. I attended a school in lower weir during the mid sixties whilst visiting from Australia.

Dear Mr Clay. We haven't got any record of Ms Dynes having been at Somerset Bridge School, but your message may jog the memories of others visiting the school website, so I will let you know if we hear anything! Web Admin

Well Done to Mrs Stiles who has kept this website up to date .
Mrs Stiles has spent a lot of her free time uploading all the photographs of the pupils work.
Well Done to the teachers and pupils for their hard work.
This website has recently been looked at by my friends in The Gambia. They will be coming over to England and visiting Somerset Bridge School in May. They are looking forward to meeting all the teachers and pupils.

Somerset Bridge is an outstanding school and holds so many wonderful memories for me! I attended the school myself when I was younger and went back to train as a student on my childcare course between 2000-2003. Since then I have trained in many other schools and not found a more homely, warm, kind and caring environment so eager to encourage the children's learning and development. I would recommend anyone to send their child to Somerset Bridge, they will truly enjoy their time and all experiences there. I am now married and have 3 children myself - I wish I lived in the catchment area for the school as I would be in no doubt as to where to send my children!

Keep up the good work guys!!!! :0)

One of my best memories of Somerset Bridge was when we would be practising for the nativity and Mr Smithen would say "give it some wellie children" and draw a wellie with his fingers :P:)

What a delight to stumble upon your website! Great way to catch up on what's been going on. Good to see that you are going from strength to strength.

Have to say that the years that our three spent at Somerset Bridge gave the best primary education they had. It certainly put our eldest on the path to the high academic achievements he is reaching at post-primary level.

We have two children at Somerset Bridge School. Somerset Bridge is a very good school with small classes which help ensure that the children are getting the atttention they need to enable them to learn well. The website and photographic reports are a brilliant idea, we feel it helps us feel more included in our childrens education.

What a great site - it's nice to see the old school again, and as a teacher in London it's great to see that things were actually as lovely as my memories were. There is hope for the education system yet!
